The first visit
- Getting to know us. Your child looks at the chair and instruments – nothing is forced.
- Check-up. We look at the teeth, gums and bite and give advice on brushing and diet.
- Plan. We explain to you what needs treatment and when to come next.
Frequently asked questions
When should a child first see a dentist?
We recommend the first visit when the first teeth come through, at the latest around the first birthday – so the child gets used to the dentist without pain or fear.
Is a child check-up covered by insurance?
Yes, preventive check-ups for children are covered by Slovak health insurers (VšZP, Dôvera, Union). Without Slovak insurance it costs €25.
Do you treat baby teeth?
Yes. Baby teeth keep space for permanent teeth, so we treat them. A filling of a baby tooth costs €45 with Slovak insurance.
